Tesla Model Y: Charging Equipment

Charging equipment designed specifically to charge your Model Y is available from Tesla. A Tesla Wall Connector, which installs in your parking space, is the fastest way to charge Model Y for daily use.

Model Y can also be charged using a Mobile Connector and the appropriate adapter(s) that allows you to plug into most commonly used power outlets. When using the Mobile Connector, first plug the Mobile Connector into the power outlet, attach the adapter (if needed), and then plug in Model Y. Mobile Connectors and/or additional adapters can be purchased from Tesla stores or online at www.tesla.com.

Tesla offers adapters (for example, J1772, CHAdeMO, and Combined Charging System (CCS) ) to allow you to plug into the most commonly used public charging stations in your region. Open the charge port door using the touchscreen (see Charging Instructions), plug the adapter into the charging port on Model Y, and then connect the station's charging connector to the adapter. For information on the charging equipment available for your region, go to www.tesla.com, choose your region, and then view the available charging options.

More details on public charging station adapters is available at https://www.tesla.com/chademo.
