If Model Y does not detect a key nearby and a locked
door or trunk is opened, an alarm sounds. The

PIN to Drive
To increase security, you can prevent Model Y from
being driven until a 4-digit PIN (Personal Identification

Using Summon to Park and Retrieve
your Vehicle
Follow these steps to use Summon to park your
Model Y:
Align Model Y within 39 feet (12 meters) of the
parking space so Model Y can follow a straight path
into or out of the space in either Drive or Reverse.
From outside the vehicle, initiate the parking
maneuver by touching Summon on the

Use your thumb to push the wide part of the door handle. The handle pivots
toward you, and you can open the door by pulling the handle or pulling the edge
of the door.
The handle retracts automatically.
